The men and women on the front lines in uniform and the civilian employees supporting them are driven by an exceptional sense of service to our community. Currently your police department consists of 19 patrol officers, 5 detectives, 7 sergeants, 2 court security marshals, 6 records custodians, 1 community service officer, 1 evidence technician, 1 code enforcement officer and 1 mental health co-responder. Collectively, they respond to nearly 19,000 calls for service from our community every year.As a department, we will commit to three guiding principles for our work, keeping all of them in balance and recognizing that all three are a requirement to do this job well:Fighting Crime;We will fight crime proactively and reactively by addressing all criminal behaviors in our community and by always doing our jobs to the best of our ability.Building Trust;We will work hard to find a way to yes. We will appreciate that policing is a team sport requiring involvement from all of our community and we will commit to professional interactions internally and with all our customers.Supporting Each Other;We recognize that being healthy is a balance of financial, mental, spiritual, physical and relational health.
